Having its origins in the Indian peninsula, China and Persia the name derives from the Persian “Yasmin”. Night blooming Jasmine blooms at only night and imbues the atmosphere with its distinctive and alluring fragrance. Although now cultivated in many countries, Egypt is the largest producer and exporter of Jasmine, followed by Morocco and India.

Venerated for its heavenly scent, Jasmine is used widely in Indian tradition – women wear Jasmine in hair for the scent, its flowers are dispersed in religious ceremonies and idols of gods are adorned in Jasmine garlands.

Jasmine flowers contain potent antiseptic, antibacterial, and antiviral properties thanks to a portfolio of natural compounds.
